COLUMBUS — The Rushmen at Ohio State just got better.

Four-star Troy (Ala) Enterprise EDGE Zion Grady has committed to the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Alabama native is the No. 79 overall prospect and the No. 11 EDGE per the On3 Industry Rankings.

Grady picked Ohio State over Florida State, Tennessee, Florida, Miami and Alabama — where he was once committed.

The newest edge rusher is fresh off his official visit to Ohio State where he spent the entire weekend in the close shadow of defensive line coach Larry Johnson.

“They continue to impress me each time,” Grady told On3. “I’m really impressed with Coach (Larry) Johnson’s attention to detail. He makes sure he covers every aspect. Getting around the players during the visit really made a strong impression on me.”

Grady visited Ohio State for the first time during the opening weekend of May and felt nothing but love from the Buckeyes’ program the entire time he was there.

“This was a great visit,” Grady told On3. “Having a personal visit with the staff to understand the program and vision for me [was great], but I think just being able to experience the town and seeing how much they care about Buckeye football as well. Coach Johnson and Coach [LaAllan] Clark really impressed me with their presentation and knowledge. They really have high expectations for me and a plan to help me achieve that.”

His commitment gives Johnson three edge rushers in the 2025 cycle, joining Zahir Mathis and London Merritt.

Five-star Plus+ cornerback duo Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez, four-star safety Faheem Delane, four-star safety DeShawn Stewart and three-star safety Cody Haddad are the secondary.

Linebackers TJ Alford and Eli Lee round out the defense.

The Buckeyes are working toward another great offensive class too.

Five-star Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair, four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela St Joseph running back Bo Jackson, three-star Philadelphia (Pa) St. Joseph’s Prep running back Isaiah West, four-star Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe, three-star Westerville (Ohio) North interior offensive lineman Jake Cook, four-star Washington (Okla) tight end Nate Roberts, wide receiver Quincy Porter, wide receiver De’Zie Jones, and wide receiver Bodpegen Miller round out the class for Ohio State.

The Rushmen got better on Monday.
