Viewing guide: How to watch Ohio State vs. Indiana
COLUMBUS — Ohio State (12-2, 2-1 Big Ten) is squaring off against Indiana (10-4, 2-1) in Assembly Hall Saturday night.
The Buckeyes are searching for their first win in a true road game since New Year’s Day last season. It’s been 370 days since then.
To end that drought this weekend, they’ll have to win in one of the most historic, and hostile, arenas in college basketball. Ohio State couldn’t win there last year, as a big Indiana first-half run proved to be the difference in an 80-68 decision.
The Hoosiers lead the all-time series, 110-88, however, the Buckeyes have won six of the last nine meetings.
Ohio State is expecting Indiana’s best Saturday. Although he was still scraping off the rust against the Cornhuskers on Wednesday, redshirt senior guard Xavier Johnson is back in the fold for the Hoosiers. They’re led by a frontcourt pairing of forward Malik Reneau (16.1 points per game) and 7-foot center Kel’el Ware (15.3 points per game). Senior guard Trey Galloway went off for 28 points against Kansas and has no trouble attacking the rim.
Three of Indiana’s four losses have come against AP Top-25 teams: UConn, Auburn and Kansas. Except, the Hoosiers just suffered a 16-point defeat to unranked — but 12-2 — Nebraska.
Indiana, led by head coach Mike Woodson, will try to bounce back at home versus Ohio State, which is off to its best start in five seasons.

The latest on Ohio State…
Via “Roddy Gayle Jr. emerging as capable closer for Ohio State”
Roddy Gayle Jr. missed his first seven shots Wednesday night. With two minutes to go and Rutgers flirting with a comeback, Gayle had more turnovers (four) than field goals made (three).
Until the sophomore guard gave every Ohio State fan in the Schottenstein Center a reason to exhale.
A possession after he airmailed a pass way over the head of wing Jamison Battle and out of bounds, Gayle knocked down a high-arcing triple from the top of the arc with the shot clock winding down.
His 3-pointer lifted the Buckeyes to a 72-66 advantage. The backcourt pairing of Noah Fernandes and Derek Simpson kept the Scarlet Knights’ hopes alive with a pair of 3-pointers down the stretch, but two trips to the free throw line allowed Ohio State to stay in front.
Buckeyes star point guard Bruce Thornton cashed in on his free throws. Gayle followed suit, stomping out the second-half fire Rutgers built — and, once again, closing out a game for Ohio State.
“If me and Jamo (Jamison) get hot, then sometimes you get worried about us, and then out of nowhere, Roddy can get downhill because you’ve been focusing on us making shots and stuff like that,” Thornton explained postgame (he and Battle combined for 46 points).
“But Roddy is a great piece of our team with his athleticism, him playing defense and his shot making. I feel like any given night, it can be any one of us getting hot. So just tonight, it was me and Jamo.
“And then Roddy came at the end to close.”
