Ohio State, rest of top five hold steady in latest AP Poll
COLUMBUS — Ohio State is holding steady in the AP Poll. The Buckeyes were ranked No. 2 for the sixth week in a row.
The top five remained intact. Clemson re-entered the top 10, moving up three spots, and Utah rose from No. 13 to No. 10 after its beatdown of Stanford this weekend.
Ohio State was also No. 2 in last week’s College Football Playoff rankings. The Buckeyes are 10-0, including 7-0 in Big Ten play, following their 56-14 victory over Indiana. The blowout marked the fourth time this season Ohio State has logged at least 50 points.
The Buckeyes rushed for a season-high 340 yards — in part, thanks to a pair of 100-yard rushers — and Heisman Trophy candidate C.J. Stroud tossed five touchdowns, most notably one to graduate wide receiver Kam Babb, who has had five season-ending injuries since his sophomore year of high school.
