With Buckeyes RB depth comes luxury of choice, valuable insurance
COLUMBUS — With this being the tail end of Lettermen Row's "Running Backs Week," what should have been apparent from the previous offerings is the Buckeyes have four players returning — Miyan Williams, TreVeyon Henderson, Dallan Hayden and Chip Trayanum — who proved last year they deserve some share of the playing time in ’23. They have another in Evan Pryor whom the coaches had plans for this time a year ago before a knee injury in preseason camp put him on the sideline, and still another in receiver Xavier Johnson who turned out to be the productive utility man, especially in the 42-41 loss to Georgia in the CFP semifinal. That’s six. That’s a pair and a spare times two. That rivals the celebrated wide receiver room in terms of either proven or capable depth.
