Buckeyes begin training camp with much-anticipated 2024 season approaching

It’s Christmas morning — I mean, Aug. 1. Well, same thing for Ohio State football fans who have been eagerly waiting for the 2024 season…because Thursday marks the beginning of Buckeyes training camp.

Ohio State faithful have access to the first four practices of camp, and the media will be in attendance for the first two, as the Buckeyes hit the practice fields at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for the grind of 25 practices ahead of what could be a special season in Columbus.

TRAINING CAMP DETAILS

+ Practices start at approximately 9:30 a.m. until classes start
+ The first day of classes is Aug. 20. From that point forward, camp practices start at 4:30 p.m.
+ Per usual, the team will lodge at the Hyatt Place in Grandview, with a camp move-in date of Aug. 5
+ Ohio State’s camp practice dates are: Aug. 1-4, 6-10, 12-17, 19-24 and 26-30

RYAN DAY SPEAKING THURSDAY

Not only is Thursday the first practice of Buckeyes training camp, but Ohio State head coach Ryan Day will speak to the media afterward at approximately 11 a.m. in the team meeting room of the WHAC.

Lettermen Row will be on site and streaming the press conference. The crew of Spencer Holbrook, Andy Backstrom and Tim May will have a “Practice Report” video up in the hour following Day’s presser.
