Sam Hart: Colorado 2021 tight end commits to Ohio State
Ohio State football recruiting can be a wild ride full of twists and turns as recruits from all over the country maneuver their way to signing day. Lettermen Row is here to help navigate the tumultuous roads by getting to the heart of the matter with the young football players themselves. Birminology shows who the young men being recruited by Ohio State truly are — by talking to them. Today’s guest is Colorado 2021 tight end Sam Hart, a priority target of the Buckeyes who has made his college decision.
Aurora (Colo.) Cherokee Trail tight end Sam Hart didn’t hesitate to call Ohio State the favorite in his recruitment following his late-November visit to Columbus.
A little over a month later, the 3-star prospect in the Class of 2021 has decided to bring his recruiting process to a close. He’s now committed to the Buckeyes.
“They fit everything that I am looking for,” Hart told Lettermen Row. “From academics, great football, connection with the coaches — and they have a great history.â€
The country’s No. 15-ranked junior tight end, Hart picked Ohio State over scholarship offers from more than 20 schools, including LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, USC, Oregon, Penn State and Nebraska. He’s been a primary target for the Buckeyes since they offered him in May. Tony Alford, who handles the majority of Ohio State’s recruiting efforts in Colorado, was his lead recruiter. Position coach Kevin Wilson has also been in regular contact with Hart for the Buckeyes.
