Returning All-American Ethan Stiles commits to Ohio State

COLUMBUS – Head coach Tom Ryan and the wrestling Bucks have add another All-American to their lineup via the Transfer Portal.
Oregon State transfer Ethan Stiles has committed to Ohio State. Stiles finished sixth at 149 pounds at the NCAA Wrestling Tournament this past season as a redshirt freshman. He started his college career at Nebraska before transferring to Corvallis last offseason.
Ohio State has an opening at 149 pounds following the graduation of two-time All-American Dylan D’Emilio, who actually beat Stiles at the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Stiles would be a perfect replacement for D’Emilio in the Buckeyes lineup. He would also be a quality training partner for Ohio State star Jesse Mendez, who is a two-time NCAA Champion at 141 pounds.
Stiles is the Buckeyes second transfer portal addition this offseason. Ohio State also added former Iowa State standout Cody Chittum who could wrestle 157 or 165 pounds for Tom Ryan’s squad next season. Chittum was a two-time NCAA qualifier for the Cyclones at 157 pounds. He also has his redshirt year available after starting as a true freshman in 2023-24.

Overall, Stiles looks to be a quality addition to Ohio State’s lineup for the 2025-26 with two more seasons of eligibility remaining after that.
