Former Buckeyes guard Jonah Jackson gets Pro Bowl nod
Yet another former Ohio State star is heading to the Pro Bowl.
Former Buckeyes offensive guard Jonah Jackson was named to the Pro Bowl this week. Jackson replaces Washington Football Team guard Brandon Scherff on the Pro Bowl roster, after Scherff opted out due to personal reasons.
Jackson joins Nick Bosa, Marshon Lattimore, Cameron Heyward, Joey Bosa and Denzel Ward as former Buckeyes to be on the Pro Bowl roster this season, and he’s the only Lions player named to the Pro Bowl.
After graduating from Rutgers, Jackson transferred to Ohio State and started on the Buckeyes offensive line for the 2019 Big Ten title team — and trip to the College Football Playoff.
Now in just his second NFL season, he is among the Buckeyes heading to the Pro Bowl.
Buckeyes cap off top-5 recruiting class with second signing period
Ohio State capped off its 2022 recruiting efforts on Wednesday, signing two more players with superstar potential.
Offensive lineman Carson Hinzman and defensive end Omari Abor both signed their letters of intent to the Buckeyes during the first day of the signing period.
It was a much more quiet inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for this signing period than the last, when Ohio State signed 19 players last month. But after getting Hinzman and Abor in the fold, the class is all but wrapped up with a top-five grade nationally, according to every major recruiting service.
Hinzman gives the Buckeyes an impressive offensive line class, especially given the coaching change for that position group after the season ended. And Abor, along with Caden Curry, Kenyatta Jackson and Hero Kanu, shows that Larry Johnson is still a force on the recruiting trail.
