Ohio State football recruiting can be a wild ride full of twists and turns as recruits from all over the country maneuver their way to signing day. Lettermen Row is here to help navigate the tumultuous roads by getting to the heart of the matter with the young football players and Ohio State coaches and staff members themselves. Today’s guest is once again Sonny Styles, who has just announced his college choice.

COLUMBUSThe decision is here for 5-star athlete Sonny Styles.

The country’s No. 3-ranked prospect has made his college decision: he’s heading to Ohio State.

It wasn’t an easy decision for the 6-foot-4, 215-pound athlete, but at the end of the day, the Buckeyes were the right choice. Ohio State offered Sonny Styles after the first game of his sophomore season and recruited him as hard as they could ever since. That was the first thing Styles pointed to when discussing his choice with Lettermen Row on Monday evening.

“Ohio State is just a special place,” Styles said. “They offered me pretty early, like right after my first game and I can’t forget that. They were ready to call me before I even got home.

“Relationships have always been a big thing for me and that relationship has been going on for such a long time. I just kind of started to have a really great feel for the place … and seeing all the opportunities that Ohio State offers for me, especially me being a Columbus kid. I think there’s a lot of great things I can do here.”
