COLUMBUS – The high school football season rolls on in the state of Ohio and across the country

All 26 commitments in Ohio State’s 2025 class and the Buckeyes lone commitment in the 2026 class have started their high school football seasons.

Lettermen Row looks at the weekend slate for the Ohio State commits in action.

Quarterback

Five-Star Plus+ Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair travels to London (Ohio) on Friday. The Chieftains lost to the Red Raiders in the regular season last year but beat them in the playoffs.

Running back

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph running back Bo Jackson travels to Eric (Pa.) McDowell on Friday. Jackson is unlikely to play due to an injury.

Three-star Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep running back Isaiah West hosts Philadelphia (Pa.) Father Judge on Friday.

Wide receiver

Four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic wide receiver Quincy Porter hosts Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep on Saturday.

Four-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) wide receiver Phillip Bell hosts Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral on Friday.

Four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic wide receiver De’zie Jones travels to Paramus Catholic (N.J.) on Friday. The Spartans are 4-0 to start the 2024 season.

Three-star Mansfield (Ohio) Ontario wide receiver Bodpegn Miller travels to Galion (Ohio) on Friday. The Warriors are 5-0 on the season.

2026 Five-Star Plus+ Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. travels Santa Margarita (Calif.) on Friday. Henry Jr. is unlikely to play due to an injury.

Tight end

Four-star Washington (Okla.) tight end Nate Roberts travels to Ardmore (Okla.) Dickson on Friday.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Gilmour Academy tight end Brody Lennon hosts Chargin Falls (Ohio) University School on Friday. The Lancers are off to a 5-0 start this season.

Offensive line

Four-star Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe hosts Whitehouse (Ohio) Anthony Wayne on Friday.

Four-star Upper Marlboro (Md.) Riverdale Baptist interior offensive lineman Jayvon McFadden hosts Leonardtown (Md.) St. Mary’s Ryken on Friday.

Three-star Westerville North (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Jake Cook hosts Westerville South (Ohio) on Friday.

Defensive line

Four-star Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute EDGE Zahir Mathis host Philadelphia (Pa.) John Bartram on Friday.

Four-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy EDGE London Merritt is off this week.

Four-star Troy (Ala.) Enterprise EDGE Zion Grady travels to Montgomery (Ala.) Carver on Friday.

Cornerback

Five-Star Plus+ Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Devin Sanchez is off for the second straight week. The Mustangs are off to a 3-0 start.

Five-Star Plus+ Birmingham (Ala.) Parker cornerback Na’eem Offord travels to Hoover (Ala.) on Friday.

Safety

Four-star Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel safety Faheem Delane hosts Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge on Friday.

Four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic safety DeShawn Stewart travels to Paramus Catholic (N.J.) on Friday. The Spartans are 4-0 to start the 2024 season.

Three-star Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius safety Cody Haddad hosts Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic on Friday. Haddad is unlikely to play due to injury.
