COLUMBUS — It is almost time, Ohio State fans. The Buckeyes are on their way to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for their College Football Playoff Semifinal match up against Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

Ohio State vs Texas: Game time, details

Ohio State and Texas have only squared off three times with the fourth set for Friday. The Longhorns hold a 2-1 advantage in the series with a 24-21 loss in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl being the latest bout in the series. Ohio State last beat Texas in week two of the 2006 season which is the Buckeyes lone win in the series.This is the first match-up between Ryan Day and Steve Sarkisian.

Texas (13-2, 7-1 SEC) is coming off a home win over Arizona State in the Peach Bowl.
