Welcome to Lettermen Row, a new home for Ohio State sports coverage — and the digital home of former Buckeye athletes.Â
I’m Will Crall, the founder of Lettermen Row. My experience working in local media and as a walk-on Ohio State Football player gave me the idea to start this new company.
We’re ready to get started, and we’re looking forward to having you with us. None of what we’re setting out to do would be possible without the passion that comes with following Ohio State, and it’s important to set that tone right from the start.
Our concept is to combine professional journalists with opinion, analysis and entertainment content created by former Buckeyes.
Lettermen Row’s mission is to provide the most original, entertaining and in-depth Ohio State content available. We will focus on providing a product and experience that is suited for the way content is consumed in today’s smartphone-based world.
We have assembled an outstanding team. Our coverage is anchored by two of the best reporters in the business — and all of their work will be available for free.
Austin Ward is our Senior Reporter covering the football and basketball beats. Austin is an award-winning journalist who has a knack for delivering outstanding in-depth, original reporting.
Jeremy Birmingham is our Director of Recruiting and will be our embedded source in the world of ultra-competitive college football recruiting. Birm has built a reputation as the go-to source for college coaches and fans — and he’s pretty handy with a camera as well.
We are also putting together an all-star cast of former player contributors – guys who “earned it†with the Buckeyes, and have now joined our team as Lettermen. Our list of Lettermen contributors is growing daily. Beanie Wells, Evan Spencer, and Jake Stoneburner are just a few of the guys who will be regulars here. Since graduating from The Ohio State University in 2009, I have worked at WBNS-10TV, 97.1 The Fan, WTHR-TV and the Dispatch. My experience in the media business has been mostly behind the scenes, which is probably where I’ll stay here.
