2025 OU football schedule dates released
The 2025 OU football schedule is here.
On Wednesday, the SEC released the dates of Oklahoma’s 2025 season. Here is the 2025 schedule:
- Aug. 30 vs Illinois State
- Sept. 6 vs Michigan
- Sept. 13 at Temple
- Sept. 20 vs Auburn
- Sept. 27 BYE
- Oct. 4 vs Kent State
- Oct. 11 vs Texas (Dallas)
- Oct. 18 at South Carolina
- Oct. 25 vs Ole Miss
- Nov. 1 at Tennessee
- Nov. 8 BYE
- Nov. 15 at Alabama
- Nov. 22 vs Missouri
- Nov. 29 vs LSU
The conference schedule is the same as last season with the home and away games flipped. And the order of the games has been changed. As for 2026, it’s unclear who Oklahoma’s opponents will be or how many conference opponents the Sooners will have. The SEC has yet to decide if there will be eight or nine conference games in 2026 and beyond. Right now, the conference is playing eight.
For Oklahoma, it will once again have one of the toughest schedules in the country. This season, OU played the sixth-toughest schedule in the country, according to Kelly Ford’s advanced analytics. The Sooners faced six top-25 teams this season. It will likely be a high number again next year for Brent Venables and his team.
