Brent Venables happy with how Emmett Jones has navigated a decimated wide receiver room

This has undoubtedly been one of the toughest seasons of Emmett Jones’ career.  The OU wide receivers coach, who is in his second year at Oklahoma, has had to endure many injuries at his position. His top five receivers — Jayden Gibson, Nic Anderson, Andrel Anthony, Jalil Farooq and Deion Burks — have all missed significant time this season. That’s led to many young players who were never expected to be contributors having to play.
