2024 outlook: Surely there’s no introduction needed here. Jackson Arnold heads into his second season in Norman as the starting quarterback at the University of Oklahoma. It’s no secret the success of Oklahoma largely depends on Arnold’s development. The ceiling is high but there’s ups and downs that are to be expected as the Sooners make the move into the mighty Southeastern Conference. Big picture: Jackson Arnold has the tools to become one of the next great quarterbacks in Oklahoma history. Expectations are high. Patience is recommended.
2024 Quarterback Outlook:
There’s a new QB1 in Norman and his name is Jackson Arnold. The sophomore takes over for Dillon Gabriel, now at Oregon. And the expectations couldn’t be higher for the former five-star. OU’s season will largely hinder on how well Arnold performs. But the Sooners have more than Arnold, as the room has totally reformed in recent years. Former Texas, Nebraska and FAU quarterback Casey Thompson transferred to OU to be a savvy, veteran backup. While freshmen Michael Hawkins and Brendan Zurbrugg are also competing for roles next season.
