Graham’s move to wide receiver wasn’t necessarily a surprise. In high school he starred at Oklahoma’s summer camp as a wide receiver prospect before starting his career on the defensive side of the ball.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do after every season of my college career,” Graham said of the position switch last season. “But I finally fessed up and said I can’t do this no more. This is what I want to do. This has always been my dream. It’s better late than never.”
A development that would be good news for a position that is looking for added playmakers in 2023.
2023 wide receiver outlook:
Oklahoma’s wide receiver unit is a position of intrigue heading into the season. Jalil Farooq slides into the No.1 role with Drake Stoops and Gavin Freeman proven outlets for Dillon Gabriel. But who else makes out that receiver corps? Andrel Anthony and freshman Jaquiaze Pettaway have excelled during preseason camp. LV Bunkley-Shelton is looking for opportunity in his second season after joining the program by way of a transfer from Arizona State. Nic Anderson and Jayden Gibson are primed to take the next step during their second seasons in Norman. Brenen Thompson has been hampered with injury throughout early portions of camp but should figure into the mix before season’s end.
