Hollenbeck Enjoying Some Recruiting of His Own

ARLINGTON, Texas – Oklahoma’s offensive line class is a key piece of the success of the 2025 class and the piece that started the unit’s success is Melissa, Texas standout Owen Hollenbeck. The big man was one of the standouts at the recent Dallas Under Armour camp. He spoke with SCOOPHD about his success as well as his work in recruiting other linemen.
So what does Hollenbeck, with many offers already in hand, get out of camps like this?
“It’s just fun. I like coming out to these. [I like to] challenge myself, challenge other guys. I like coming out to recruit other guys too, that’s what I look forward to doing,” Hollenbeck chuckled. “I like staying fresh, learning more from these other coaches. More from just my school and [Bill] Bedenbaugh.”
Among those joining him at the camp were fellow Sooners offensive line targets Michael Fasusi, Lamont Rogers, and Ty Haywood amongst many others.
“I’ve known a lot of these guys for a long time so that kind of helps out,” he admitted. “So far, so good. We’ve got a lot of guys so far, me and [Ryan Fodje] and I think we need a couple more guys and we’ll be good.”

Hollenbeck is a powerful blocker that seems to fit the mold most would connect to Bedenbaugh. The Sooners long-time staffer continues to build the relationship and helping his future pupil improve.
“I think so, you always have to learn from him and he’s always helping me out by giving me some tips.”
