The GM role has become common in college football over the past few years. Most, if not all, major programs have some sort of position on staff that is specifically for helping the coaching staff with roster management and construction. The Sooners feel like they made a home run hire in Nagy, who was the executive director of the Senior Bowl for seven years and previously was an NFL scout for nearly 20 years.
