Jim Nagy will be well-compensated as the general manager of OU football.

Nagy, who was hired Feb. 26, signed a three-year contract and will make $750,000 in his first year as the GM, it was announced at the OU Board of Regents meeting on Monday. That number will increase by $100,000 annually, making Nagy one of the highest-paid general managers in college football.

OU plans to hire several more staff members for its front office. Nagy will be in charge of those hires.

“We need to have a more robust staff,” Nagy said. “There’s some good people in place who I met and I’ve known Drew Hill forever. I think we go back 20-some years. He was the pro liaison at Fresno State when I was scouting on the West Coast as a young guy. So good people in place. But yeah, we’re certainly gonna be making a lot of hires and the school’s committed to that, and that’s great. I mean, that’s what it’s gonna take. So in terms of the structure, and we’re working through org chart stuff. I’m not gonna get into details there, but we’re gonna bring in good people.”

Nagy wasn’t the only one who got a payday on Monday.

New linebackers coach Nate Dreiling’s contract details were also released. Dreiling, who was most recently Arkansas State’s defensive coordinator, signed a two-year deal worth $450,000 per year. Safeties coach Brandon Hall also received a raise, totaling $200,000z Hall will now make $700,000 in 2025.
