How OU basketball flipped the switch vs. Vanderbilt

OU basketball hasn’t been a spurtability type of team. A lot of grind it out type of execution from Porter Moser and company.

What you don’t expect to see is a 23-0 run to essentially begin the second half. Of course, that’s exactly what OU did.

Down by as many as 13 points in the first half, OU scored 61 points in the second half and won comfortably 97-67 against Vanderbilt.

But if you were at the Lloyd Noble Center, then you know about the 23-0 run. A breakdown of everything that happened. A six-minute span that turned the game upside down. It’s too early to say it turned the OU season around. But, well, let’s put a little bookmark next to this game and see how the Sooners fare the rest of the way.

OU doesn’t score in bunches and usually doesn’t allow points in bunches. But Saturday? OU had that type of run when it needed it most.
