Three former OU greats are on the latest College Football Hall of Fame ballot, which was released Monday.

Quarterback Josh Heupel, linebacker Rocky Calmus and defensive back George Cumby are all on the 2025 ballot. Heupel and Calmus have been on the ballot for some time, while Cumby is the newest Sooner to join the list.

We already know OU will be represented in the 2024 class by former defensive tackle Dewey Selmon. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Aug. 23 in Atlanta. Heupel, Calmus and Cumby could be next in line behind Selmon, who is the 30th Sooner to be inducted — 24 players and six coaches.

The 2025 class will be announced in early 2025. Here are the Sooners nominees for the 2025 class.

Josh Heupel (1999-2000): Helped OU to its most recent national championship in 2000. He was a consensus First Team All-American and Walter Camp Player of the Year. He was also the runner-up for the 2000 Heisman Trophy. Heupel is currently Tennessee’s head coach.
