Take one look at the OU softball schedule for the Southeastern Conference, and, oh, it’s real. This is what OU fans wanted. We are here.

No weekends off. Let’s do this type of thing.

When you’re ending the regular season with a home series vs. Texas and going to Florida, you know you’ve reached big time.

There was a running joke last season about the 2025 SEC Tournament being even tougher than the Women’s College World Series. It might just be true, though.

OU is going to begin SEC play at Love’s Field, welcoming South Carolina from March 7-9. Other home series include WCWS participants Tennessee and Texas. OU is also headed to Missouri and Alabama to go with Florida.

Take a breath. The gauntlet of all gauntlets is coming, but the Sooners have had that target on their back for years and years, of course.

Head coach Patty Gasso and the Sooners achieved history in 2024, obviously. Back-to-back-to-back-to-back national champions, defeating Florida in the WCWS semifinals and sweeping No. 1 Texas in the championship series.

The statue unveiling for Gasso will 4 p.m. Friday at Love’s Field. Originally scheduled for spring football game weekend in April, the weather should be perfect for Friday.

It’s a new look version for 2025. So many familiar names have now departed. Players like Kierston Deal and Cydney Sanders now expected to carry the leadership role.

And we’re getting closer and closer to fall ball time. The Battle Series schedule is expected to be announced shortly. There will be plenty of intrigue for this team in the fall.
