OU in the NFL: Eric Gray, Marvin Mims find the endzone to begin preseason
Getting closer and closer to the OU football season. But that also means getting closer and closer to the NFL season.
The first full week of the preseason is in the books. And no, some of the usual names did not play. However, it was an opportunity for plenty of guys.
And some of them definitely began things with a splash. Either at a new home or a first opportunity, there are Sooners galore in the NFL.
OU in the NFL
Eric Gray (Giants) – That’s one way to begin your second season. Gray rushed for 52 yards on just four attempts with two touchdowns. He also added four receptions for 46 yards, catching all four targets.
Rhamondre Stevenson (Patriots) – New England doesn’t need to know too much about Dre, one carry for 11 yards to begin his preseason.

Curtis Bolton (Dolphins) – Bolton hoping to make another run, had four tackles over the weekend.
Neville Gallimore (Dolphins) – Second stop for Gallimore, no longer with the Cowboys and had a tackle for loss.
Grant Calcaterra (Eagles) – Two receptions for 14 yards as Philadelphia gave Jalen Hurts the night off.
Austin Seibert (Jets) – Connected on lone field goal (37 yards) and one extra point.
Brian Asamoah (Vikings) – Had four tackles and .5 tackles for loss as he tries to play a bigger role for Minnesota.
Jalen Redmond (Vikings) – Getting his initial crack at the NFL, Redmond had a tackle for loss.
Mike Woods (Browns) – Two catches for 22 yards.
Marquise Brown (Chiefs) – One catch for 11 yards, out indefinitely with an injury.
Kenneth Murray (Titans) – One tackle.
Marvin Mims (Broncos) – Two receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown.
Jonah Laulu (Colts) – One tackle, welcome to the NFL.
Drake Stoops (Rams) – Three catches for 27 yards on four targets. The journey begins for one of OU’s favorite sons.
