OU NFL Draft Combine preview: Tyler Guyton should impress
The 2024 NFL Draft Combine is underway in Indianapolis and OU has three players participating.
Right tackle Tyler Guyton, left tackle Walter Rouse and center Andrew Raym were all invited to the combine. The offensive line drills will take place from 12-4 p.m. CT on NFL Network.
Here’s a look at OU’s three participants in the combine:
Tyler Guyton, tackle
Height: 6’7
Weight: 328
Draft projection: 1st round
Analysis: Guyton should perform well at the combine. He’s already projected to be a first-round pick, but he could improve his stock with a nice performance. Guyton has shown to have good hands and quick feet, which should bode well for him in most of the drills. I’m most interested to see how he does on the bench press as he didn’t always get the best push in the run game, but was still considered one of the strong players at OU. Scouts should walk away believing he can play right or left tackle and is a bonafide first-round selection.

Walter Rouse, tackle
Height: 6’5
Weight: 319
Draft projection: 5-7th round
Analysis: Rouse improved his stock in his lone season at OU. The Stanford transfer was a borderline draftable player before the 2023 season. It would now be a surprise if he wasn’t taken. Rouse isn’t the most athletic tackle, but he is extremely smart and strong. He can easily be a swing backup tackle for an NFL team and possibly work his way to being a starter. He won’t be a physical standout at the combine — he will likely finish middle of the pack — but team executives will fall in love with his personality and football IQ, which will help him be selected on Day 3.
Andrew Raym, interior o-line
Height: 6’4
Weight: 315
Draft projection: 6-7th round
Analysis: Raym had a great week at the Senior Bowl, which should help his case to be drafted. And he, like Rouse, should be middle of the pack at the combine. But Rouse isn’t the most athletic center. He struggles with lateral quickness, which isn’t a recipe for success in many of these drills. He’s also had issues with bad snaps, which teams won’t love. But he makes up for a lot of his flaws with his strength and toughness. He won’t be a star at the combine and likely won’t improve his stock. But he should still expect to be a late draft pick.
