OU spring football practice is coming down the stretch, now more than halfway over. The team returned for another week, beginning Tuesday afternoon.

Local media saw around the initial 30 minutes of practice. But instead of the usual stretching and individual drills or special teams, it got started with a bang.

Head coach Brent Venables said it was time for one-on-ones. That meant skill players, initially, and then transitioned into the trenches with the offensive and defensive line.

Here is every rep (in order) in SoonerScoop’s Sights & Sounds from video editor Eddie Radosevich:

Elijah Thomas vs. Jacobe Johnson

Isaiah Sategna vs. Kendal Daniels

Will Huggins vs. Robert Spears-Jennings

R Mason Thomas vs. Jacob Sexton

Gracen Halton vs. Febechi Nwaiwu

Taylor Wein vs. Derek Simmons

David Stone vs. Eddy Pierre-Louis

Danny Okoye vs. Jake Taylor

R Mason Thomas vs. Luke Baklenko

News & notes

*George Stoia also had a thread on social media, showing even more of the 1 on 1s as well.

*Running back Jovantae Barnes, wide receiver KJ Daniels and safety Peyton Bowen were all working off to the side, not participating with their position group.

*Center Troy Everett was showing why he’s the leader of the offensive line. Being extremely vocal and also offering encouragement and a helping hand for anyone not getting the rep done correctly.

*Marvin Jones Jr. was dressed out but didn’t do much during the time the media was allotted to watch everything.

*Eli Bowen is no longer on crutches but wasn’t at full-go, either.

*Running backs Tory Blaylock and Taylor Tatum both had some nice over the shoulder catches down the field during a drill.

*Defensive tackle Gracen Halton had the honor of breaking the team down to begin practice.

*Set to talk to players following practice Tuesday evening. Keep it here on SoonerScoop for more coverage from OU spring practice.
