The OU women will be dancing in Norman.

Oklahoma will be a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will host the first two rounds at the Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners will face No. 14 seed Florida Gulf Coast in Round 1. On the other side of the bracket, No. 6 Iowa will face No. 11 Murray State. If Oklahoma and Iowa win, it would set up a fun matchup for OU coach Jennie Baranczyk, who played for the Hawkeyes from 2000-2004.

OU is coming off an impressive season going 25-7, including 11-5 in the SEC. This is the fourth consecutive season Oklahoma has made the NCAA Tournament. The program has made it all four years under coach Jennie Baranczyk and has won one game each season. Baranczyk is hoping to get over the Round 2 hope this season and make the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2013.

This is arguably Baranczyk’s best team since arriving in Norman. This is the highest seed OU has had since 2022 when the Sooners were a No. 4 seed and lost to Notre Dame in the Round of 32. This Oklahoma team is led by All-SEC first-team selection Raegan Beers, averaging 17.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Beers boasts the highest field goal percentage in the country at 66%.
