Verhulst led all scorers with 19 points, scoring 10 of them in the fourth quarter. The Sooners were without Raegan Beers on Thursday due to illness, paving the way for Liz Scott to start in her place. Scott totaled 10 points and five rebounds. Sahara Williams also contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, continuing her impressive sophomore season.
With the win, OU improved to 17-6 and 5-5 (SEC) this season. Oklahoma’s schedule will get easier from here, facing 12-11 Auburn on Sunday in Norman.
