Reunited with Brent Venables, Wes Goodwin is ready to help OU's defense

In early December 2021, Wes Goodwin didn’t know where he would be coaching in 2022. At that time, his long-time mentor, Brent Venables, had just accepted the head coaching job at Oklahoma. Venables had spent the previous 10 seasons as Clemson’s defensive coordinator, hiring Goodwin as one of his key assistants for the Tigers. And Venables wanted to bring Goodwin with him to Norman as his linebackers coach.
