Seth Littrell to make $1.1 million as OU offensive coordinator
OKLAHOMA CITY — New OU offensive coordinator Seth Littrell is set to make $1.1 million in his first year calling plays for the Sooners. The OU Board of Regents officially approved his contract on Friday.
Littrell was hired as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator in December, replacing Jeff Lebby, who is now the head coach at Mississippi State. Lebby made $1.9 million last year at OU. Littrell served this past season as an offensive analyst and called plays in the Alamo Bowl. He will also coach the quarterbacks moving forward, and his contract runs through the 2026 season, signing a three-year deal.
OU tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator Joe Jon Finley also received a considerable pay bump on Friday. He’s set to make $900,000 in 2024, after making $520,000 last year, a significant $380,000 raise.

Oklahoma has still not officially hired a defensive coordinator yet. The expectation is that Jacksonville State’s Zac Alley will be hired any day now, feeling like a matter of when at this point. His contract will be on the agenda at the next Board of Regents meeting in March. When asked about the defensive coordinator search, athletics director Joe Castiglione winked and said, “things are moving well.”
All of Oklahoma’s current assistants received pay bumps on Friday at the OU Board of Regents meeting.
