Oklahoma’s class of 2025 is put to bed and now Oklahoma will face another tough test in putting together their 2026 class. And with a number of offers out and the Sooners already zeroing in on a number of targets. We’ll take our second run of the year at guessing at Oklahoma’s 2026 class.

These predictions are usually saved for our weekly ‘SoonerScoop’ but with no Scoop this week, it seems a great time to to put out a set of predictions.

Now it’s Time for a Run at the Sooners 2026 Class

OK, it’s time for Josh’s predictions for the class of 2026. For those unfamiliar every year on the first Friday of each month, I (Josh) invade Scoop’s personal space to predict what players could fill out the Oklahoma’s ongoing recruiting class.

Right now Oklahoma has 80 players on scholarship. Among those 80, they have 31 juniors and seniors currently on the roster. They also have 18 players currently signed in the class of 2025.

Obviously over the next two cycles there are going to be departures either via the NFL draft, transfer, or any of 1,000 other reasons.

With that in mind, along with other bits of information with where the new staff plans to go, Scoop and I have been working under the thought of the Sooners signing somewhere close to 25 total in the 2026 class. The number is always tricky to guess, particularly at this early date but we’re going to move forward with it.

Additionally, a level of confidence will be listed with each of the selections and finally a prediction of who will be the next Sooner pledge. Finally the numbers next to each position are how many I expect OU to sign at each position.

Players on Last Month’s List Who Aren’t There This Month: Jonathan Hatton, Evenson Malaska

What I Got Right Last Week: N/A

What I Got Wrong Last Week: N/A

Quarterback (1)

Jaden O’Neal – COMMITTED

Running Back (2)

Victor SantinoLevel of Confidence: 10%

Santino camped with the Sooners last summer and was impressive on the day. He doesn’t yet hold an offer but we’re going to keep an eye on him going forward.

Kaydin JonesLevel of Confidence: 45%

This is an interesting one that the Sooners may have to battle for a bit more than some expected. However, his connections to the program are hard to deny and I still think that wins out in the end.

Wide Receiver (3)

Mason JamesLevel of Confidence: 40%

The Norman native has plenty of interest in the Sooners and a great early bond with Emmett Jones. The Sooners are in a good position but obviously there are questions to answer.

Aljour MilesLevel of Confidence: 45%

This feels like almost the exact repeat of the conversation with James. Miles has felt, at various points, like a guy who was just about ready to pull the trigger but he has stopped himself. Still though Oklahoma has to feel like a clear leader at the moment.

Zion RobinsonLevel of Confidence: 20%

Robinson is a tougher read but Oklahoma has put in outstanding early work. Still though he’s a name who has seen his name really blossom over the last few months and the battle seems to be getting tougher.

Tight End/Hback (2)

Ryder Mix – COMMITTED

Zachery TurnerLevel of Confidence: 25%

Turner would be a near ideal compliment to Mix’s physicality and in-line abilities. The Sooners built up a lot of early favor but it’s a bit more unclear of where things are now.

Offensive Line (5-7)

Noah BestLevel of Confidence: 35%

Best is a player that we clearly expect the Sooners to make a real priority of. His affinity and connection to Oklahoma will only make this more likely going forward.

Bryce GilmoreLevel of Confidence: 20%

Gilmore is one of the few players on this list, even at this early point, to not already hold an Oklahoma offer. But he’s a good athlete who has some nastiness in his game – in short he makes a lot of sense for the Sooners.

Pupungatoa KatoaLevel of Confidence: 40%

Talk about a guy that fits the Sooners methodology on the offensive line. Katoa is a guy who pays with violence and believes in physically overwhelming opponents. The Sooners have impressed him repeatedly and have a strong early bond.

Pulelei’ite PrimusLevel of Confidence: 30%

Primus is a guy who made the long trip to Dallas to see the Sooners take on Texas and while that may not be one you all want to remember he glowed about the trip with his mother.

Maxwell RobinsonLevel of Confidence: 30%

Robinson has been big on Oklahoma for quite some time and the Sooners seem a real contender. His flexibility of position should make him an even more ideal prospect for OU.

Deacon SchmittLevel of Confidence: 25%

Schmitt is one of only two tackles on the list but the Sooners have made a strong early impression. Can they continue that momentum? We’ll see.

Defensive Tackle (3)

Tajh OvertonLevel of Confidence: 30%

Overton is another in-state guy that has been to Norman quite a bit already. The Sooners are in good shape but he’s far from a certainty in spite of repeated trips to Norman already.

Joseph TerryLevel of Confidence: 25%

Since his camp visit Terry has seemed high on the Sooners and Oklahoma has built a good early bond. But obviously over such distance nothing is easy.

Tufanua Umu-CaisLevel of Confidence: 25%

Umu-Cais, like Terry, camped and really connected with the Sooners. He even made a trip to Norman for Tennessee weekend and Oklahoma remains a very real contender.

EDGE (2-3)

Jake KreulLevel of Confidence: 25%

Kreul took a real shine to Miguel Chavis and the Sooners are in strong shape. That said, he’s gotten a lot of interest and seems to be seeing his notoriety grow.

Hudson WoodsLevel of Confidence: 25%

Woods is another talented EDGE rusher that seems to be in the mold of R Mason Thomas for the Sooners. He’s made a few trips to campus and seems like a very viable possibility.

Linebacker (3)

Joshua GalbreathLevel of Confidence: 10%

This is another flier on a player without an offer but we know that Oklahoma has always recruited Kansas hard under Brent Venables.

Jakore SmithLevel of Confidence: 35%

The teammate of current Sooners commitment Omarion Robinson, Smith has long since seemed very high on Oklahoma. He was unable to make it to the Alabama game late in the year but was clearly disappointed about it.

Cornerback (3)

Brandon FordLevel of Confidence: 15%

This is one that is a flier who doesn’t currently hold a Sooners offer, I’d just keep an eye out here as I still think Oklahoma will end up making some new offers that make an impact.

Rodarion JonesLevel of Confidence: 15%

Jones is a guy that I’ve not seen a lot of connection to but the Sooners will like his length and physicality as a fit for their corner position.

Safety (2)

Jordan DavisLevel of Confidence: 25%

Oklahoma seems high on Davis at this point in time and we’ll see what the push looks like at a position they’ve done very well at in recent months.

Jordan DeckLevel of Confidence: 35%

Deck, the teammate of Oklahoma’s tight end commitment, seems very high on the Sooners but with the recent issues one wonders where things may go.
