Sooners Commits Moving in Rankings
The latest update to the On3 rankings has been released and several Sooners prospects, and one of it’s most recent commitments, have made a big move. The rankings update was based on a number of factors including the early spring camp circuit as well as more and more track times have become available. Oklahoma’s early evaluations, again, seem to be showing their worth with a number of big movers.
The biggest mover of Oklahoma’s targets was undoubtedly the nation’s New No. 148 overall player, safety Marcus Wimberly. After an extremely impressive performance at the Dallas Under Armour camp Wimberly’s move up was inevitable. His blend of size, speed, and feel for coverage makes for a player who could continue to climb up.
The next big mover was a player making his second consecutive huge jump. This time Ryan Fodje moved from No. 161 to 65 overall in the country. As we’ve talked about since seeing him last season, Fodje’s ceiling is extremely high and he’s a player who could absolutely continue to move up the rankings. His great feet, natural athleticism, and frame are all high-end traits that he’ll continue to build on. In short? He looks like a growingly impressive win for Bill Bedenbaugh the Sooners.
Key Oklahoma Target Picks up 5th Star
Though not committed, one of Oklahoma’s highest-rated prospects also picked up his fifth star when On3 moved elite offensive tackle Ty Haywood from No. 12 to No. 8 in the On3 rankings. When he did make the move he also picked up his fifth star.

In a cycle that is loaded at offensive tackle, Ty Haywood continues to check a ton of boxes while assembling a strong body of work. The Denton (Texas) Ryan product has one of the best combinations of length, functional play strength and athleticism at the position in the 2025 cycle. At 6-foot-4.5, 285 pounds with close to a 7-foot wing-span, Haywood is a twitchy mover with the ability to move laterally with ease. He’s strong on contact, using his punch and grip strength to manipulate opposing defensive linemen on film and in the camp setting.
On3’s Charles Power on Haywood’s Move up the Rankings
Haywood is set to take his Sooners official visit on June 14.
