Sooners Camp Ready for Big Men to Roll In
Oklahoma’s camps under Brent Venables have become a big part of the annual schedule. And last year the Sooners offered a lengthy list of offensive linemen during the 2023 summer camp. Among those offers were names like Ryan Fodje, Jonte Newman, Ziyare Addison, Tyler Thomas, and Drew Evers amongst several others.
Throughout his time in Norman Sooners offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh has always placed considerable value on getting to work a player out in person. And these trends look likely to continue with another stocked group of offensive lineman headed to Norman this Thursday.
While many more campers will come over the following four days of camp, Thursday in particular has some big names.
Leading the way are a pair of Dallas area 2026 offensive linemen who already hold Sooners offers, Pupungatoa Katoa and Felix Ojo.
While the two share a camp day, a city, and an Oklahoma offer, they are worlds apart as players. Ojo is a long and rangy offensive tackle who is just beginning to fill out his frame and developing his physicality. Meanwhile Katoa is a mountain of an offensive lineman who shines in some camps at offensive tackle.
As mentioned, the camp has largely been about new offers rolling out rather than existing ones coming to Norman. And there are several candidates we’ll be watching who will be on hand on Thursday.

Among the names to keep an eye on are confirmed 2026 visitors Chancellor Barclay, Mason Bandhauer, Noah Best, and Cody Taylor. Kannon Smith and Sean Stover also seem likely likely candidates to make their way to Norman. Along with them is also 2027 interior offensive lineman Gus Corsair.
It’s a group that will see some new names pick up Sooners offers. And we’ll be tracking all of the big movement from the first session of Brent Venables’s football camp.
