Sooners Predictions In for For OL Offer Eugene Brooks
Oklahoma’s 2024 class of offensive lineman has one current commitment but with several key targets nearing a decision that list figures to grow. One of the many visitors to hit Norman over the last month was Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon offensive lineman Eugene Brooks.
The 6-foot-4, 320-pound prospect holds offers from the Sooners as well as Georgia, Texas, USC, Oregon, and Florida State amongst many others. He took official visits to Oklahoma and Texas in June with both programs feeling the visits went well.
Following the two visits only one On3 recruiting prediction came in when InsideTexas’s Gerry Hamilton logged a pick for the Longhorns on June 17. This gave Texas a sizable edge, 93.5-percent, in the recruiting prediction machine (RPM).

However, after further communication and the simple evolution of recruiting, the Sooners have been predicted by both Hamilton as well as SoonerScoop.com recruiting editor Josh McCuistion.
With the two predictions Oklahoma now stands at a 68.4-percent chance to land Brooks.
Though the Las Vegas native has hinted at a decision prior to his senior season there’s no definitive timeline at this point. If, in fact, he is to make his choice this summer the Sooners would seem to be in strong position. Not only because of the work of Bill Bedenbaugh and company but simply because he has yet to take another official visit and won’t have a chance to do so until the season begins.
