Sooners Finding Some Little Known Gems
Another week has gone by and the Sooners have made a number of new offers. And with the Sooners out on the road this week offers only figure to keep rolling out. As such it’s time to take a look at these new offers, their game, and just where the Sooners fit into their plans.
What’s on Tape: Cooper is a smooth and easy tight end for North Crowley. He moves well and also shows some physicality as a lead blocker on the edge. In short, he’s a very promising young tight end.
Sooners Chances: The Sooners are in early and there’s definitely a feeling they could become truly involved.
What’s on Tape: Harris has very easy change of direction and even easier burst. He’s a guy with a lot of potential at corner with easy ball skills.
Sooners Chances: Harris seems an Alabama lean at this point.
What’s on Tape: McGee is a corner who looks very comfortable playing with the ball in front of him. He’s an attacking and aggressive player who tackles well in space.
Sooners Chances: It’s very early for McGee but he’s from an area of the metroplex that the Sooners have had some success in.
What’s on Tape: Whatever you may be looking for on Parks’s tape, you’ll find. He shows easy athleticism to slide his feet but can also work to the second level with some ease. But perhaps most of all is watching him just level one defender after another.
Sooners Chances: Parks is a guy some have linked to Ohio State but the Sooners will have some hope to bring him in at some point.
What’s on Tape: Pickett is a player who lines up at tackle but seems to have the frame to play either guard or tackle in the college game. He has some physicality and seems to like playing in a phone booth. That said, he has the skill to move his feet and potentially be a high quality pulling guard.
Sooners Chances: Pickett has an early interest in Oklahoma but most have him headed to Miami.
What’s on Tape: Rouse is the level of athlete that his team feels comfortable putting in man-to-man coverage situations. He’s also a skilled pass rusher who does a good job playing under control and staying sound before attacking up field.
Sooners Chances: There’s some big early buzz with Tennessee for Rouse.

What’s on Tape: Sorensen is a promising tight end prospect who looks the part of an every down player. He has the ability to make plays as a receiver, even having some ability after the catch. But watch him block and you see a tight end that could help the Sooners, or any program, in a number of ways.
Sooners Chances: This will be an interesting recruitment to watch as the Sooners seem a very possible option.
What’s on Tape: Stewart is one of those strong evaluations that the more you watch the more you wonder why his offer list isn’t already extensive. He has a reel that shows a bit of everything from word go. His ability to identify the ball in the air, his ability to turn and run with receivers, and even his ability to come up and play against the run. Stewart is a notably complete prospect.
Sooners Chances: Stewart is his ‘biggest’ offer to date and perhaps the Sooners can build some momentum.
What’s on Tape: Stokes is your prototypical all-purpose running back. He moves very well in space and shows ability as a receiver. But as a runner he is stronger than you think, bursting through arm tackles and is very shifty.
Sooners Chances: It’s early but it’s hard to deny how well Oklahoma has done in recruiting Southern California through the years.
What’s on Tape: Wells has the frame of a big and powerful nose guard and routinely overwhelms double teams. However, he has some movement skills and is quicker than one would expect from a guy his size.
Sooners Chances: Battling in the state of Mississippi is always incredibly tough but Oklahoma is in early on.
