Sooners Looking to go Two-for-Saturday
For the third time in the class of 2025, Oklahoma is hoping to seal a pair of commitments on the same day. In November of 2023 the Sooners landed teammates Marcus James and Trynae Washington that were followed this April by Maliek Hawkins and Trent Wilson as players who made the choice on the same day. Now the Sooners are looking at decisions from a pair of four-star prospects in Lamont Rogers and Omarion Robinson.
Rogers, the nation’s No. 7 offensive tackle and No. 60 overall player in the On3 industry rankings, would be a huge win for the Sooners and their highest rated offensive tackle commitment since the class of 2018. The big man was offered by Oklahoma in Jan. of 2023 and since then have hosted him roughly half a dozen times including his recent official visit on June 18.
All week long rumors have run wild as Rogers has remained silent save for a few posts on X but this feels like a race that is coming down to Oklahoma and Missouri. We’ve talked at length about him this week and the latest we have on Rogers before his noon (central) announcement is right here.
Robinson To Make it Two for Arkansas?
Through the years the Sooners have had incredibly poor luck recruiting neighboring Arkansas. The Sooners rarely face the Razorbacks in head to head battles on the recruiting trail but when they do it’s usually for Natural State talent. And through those battles it has rarely gone well for the Sooners.

This year the tide has already started to turn with the Sooners landing safety Marcus Wimberly from Bauxite, a one-time Arkansas commitment. Now though Brandon Hall will hope to make it two safeties from the state with the decision of Robinson, set for around four p.m. central today.
Oklahoma has chased several elite safeties but were in on few earlier than Robinson who has been a target for over 18 months. The Sooners have not only battled Arkansas but Oregon with Oklahoma currently considered a 94.6-percent favorite in the On3 recruiting prediction machine.
Oklahoma has hopes of having one of it’s biggest days of the 2025 class with Robinson and Rogers set to announce. Perhaps they can end their recruitment simultaneously as they both began it picking up their Sooners offers on Jan. 18, 2023.
