Sooners Lose Prize Commitment
Less than an hour after finding some solid ground with Cortez Mills, who was thought to be waffling, the Sooners got the other end of the stick on Monday night when defensive tackle Floyd Boucard announced he has chosen to look around a bit more. In fact he has decommitted from the Sooners.
A week ago this news may not have seemed that surprising with talk that Boucard was going to take a visit to Miami for their meeting with Ball State last Saturday. However, according to CaneSport, that visit never took place.
Still though, that didn’t stop Boucard’s announcement.
Boucard was part of a three-man defensive line class that seemed to have considerable potential with the big man along with Trent Wilson and Ka’Mori Moore. Boucard, a native Canadian, had been rumored to be looking around for quite some time with Miami, Florida, and others all trying to remain involved in his recruitment.

It’s unclear at this point whether Oklahoma themselves will remain in his recruitment or move in a different direction.
Now Oklahoma is left with a 22-man class and some decisions to make in regard to making any new offers or doubling-back to some players committed elsewhere. We’ll have more on that soon and there’s a decent chance that Oklahoma’s big visit weekend could see a few new visitors added to the list in response to the news.
