RPM Goes in for In-State Star
On Saturday morning the Sooners played host to Jenks, Okla. defensive tackle Cash Jacobsen. During his visit and time spent with both Brent Venables and defensive line coach Todd Bates, the Sooners made an offer to the Trojans standout.
Jacobsen, who has seen his stock soar in recent weeks with offers coming in from USC, Oklahoma State, Boise State, San Diego State, and a host of others, took the trip to Norman after being invited earlier in the week. The Sooners, to date, hadn’t been in heavy contact with Jacobsen or ‘nothing crazy’ as he put in regard to Oklahoma’s level of contact.
But the possibility made a lot of sense with the Sooners losing not one, but two of their class of 2025 defensive line commitments in Floyd Boucard and Ka’Mori Moore.
That said he visited Oklahoma for a camp back on June 8, 2023 and he has never tried to hide his affinity for the Sooners. And with both Oklahoma’s and Jacobsen’s situations in mind it was time to put in a prediction for Oklahoma to land the latest Jenks defensive star.

Few Teams More Connected to Sooners than Jenks
The Trojans, for years, have been a dominant program within state lines and not surprisingly Oklahoma has always had a heavy presence at the Tulsa area powerhouse. Jacobsen is offer No. 12 the Sooners have made to the Jenks roster since the class of 2002. Of the nine players who preceded him – current Jenks stars Kaydin Jones and Semaj Stanford have not yet made decisions – seven of them chose the Sooners in the end.
Names like Steven Parker, Gabe Lynn, Jordan Smallwood, and Marquise Overton highlight the list of Sooners who called Jenks home in high school.
