SoonerScoop coverage wrap-up: An OU airing of grievances
That’s not how the weekend was supposed to go for OU. Think most thought Kansas would give the Sooners a good game but not the first loss.
But now we’ll see Brent Venables’ team is made of the rest of the way, following a 38-33 upset defeat by KU in Lawrence.
The Sooners, now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12, dropped to No. 10 in the AP poll. And it doesn’t get any easier.
A trip to Lawrence is now combined with a trip to Stillwater for what might be the most anticipated Bedlam of all time. Nobody knows when OU and Oklahoma State will play again, so 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium is the place to be.
But upon reflecting back to Saturday? It’s time to air some grievances. This was a game OU shouldn’t have lost. The discipline, from coaches and players, simply has not been there since the massive win vs. Texas.
