SoonerScoop coverage wrap-up: That's an OU team we recognize
After the last month, it almost felt like OU fans were owed a performance like Saturday. The Sooners are still fighting, and their fans are there to cheer them on.
That looked like the Brent Venables-led team of the first month of the season. OU was simply dominant in dismantling visiting West Virginia 59-20.
The Sooners got some major help in terms of the Big 12 championship race. It’s funny how one 24-hour period can change so much. OU has plenty to play for, and maybe, just maybe, it’s about to hit its stride here coming down the stretch.
OU moved to No. 14 in the polls at 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the Big 12. The possibility of a 10-win regular season is certainly still on the table.
