We’ve almost made the end of the transfer portal for OU, both in football and basketball. It has been a wild 30 days on the hardwood and an intense set of 10 days on the gridiron.

A lot of good, though, across the board as Brent Venables and Porter Moser have been able to do the things they needed to do.

This week starts shifting to recruiting, and recruiting for OU is all about the quarterback position and what offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle is going to do. It is such an important and crucial spot to land. You have to get your guy, period. Even if can get messy, it has to get done to set up OU for the future.

Let’s break it all down in a special OG edition of the Unofficial 40 podcast from SoonerScoop. Carey, Eddie and Josh, just like it was back in the day.

Murdock summary:

George was under the weather today so we had an OG podcast with Carey, Josh and Eddie. It’s been a busy week so we kind of used this podcast to clean up our thoughts on everything that’s been going on lately. David Stone and the QB decision. Why shouldn’t Ben Arbuckle be able to make his own choice at who he wants his QB to be? We also talked plenty of portal and looked ahead to where the Sooners could go next. The defensive line is a real strength that we probably haven’t talked about enough. And coaches are all over the country visiting some of the top prospects on their board. Some reminiscing, so old school podcasting, the original crew is back together and remind you of the greatness that was the start of the Unofficial 40.

All that and all the banter you’ve come to expect from the Unofficial 40 podcast from SoonerScoop.
