SoonerScoop podcast: Breaking down an all-time OU victory in the Red River Rivalry
Where were you when OU wide receiver Nic Anderson caught the pass? It will be the stuff of legends, describing the moment Dillon Gabriel found Anderson for the game-winning touchdown with 15 seconds left.
“It was fun to be a part of a game like that,” head coach Brent Venables said. “But I can’t brag enough on the players—their toughness, their leadership, their effort, their strain, their love for one another.
“I love what we’re building, and as we’ve said for a while now, there’s no limits on what this team can do and no excuses, either. We have everything we need. We’re certainly not there. There’s plenty we’ll have to improve, get better at. But boy, just really thankful for our players, and they were nothing short of amazing today.”
OU one an epic 34-30 contest against Texas in the final Big 12 edition of the Red River Rivalry, and the SoonerScoop crew couldn’t wait to break it all down.

It’s time for the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.
From publisher Carey Murdock:
Eddie said it best in this podcast. Brent Venables Oklahoma football program just accelerated during today’s 34-30 win over the Texas Longhorns at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Dillon Gabriel put together a performance for the ages and any Sooner fans on the fence about how far he can lead this OU team has to adjust their thinking. Gabriel was magical at times with his feet. He made a lot of big plays with his arm. And the biggest throw of the day with just :15 seconds left. It gave the Sooners an improbable comeback victory.
But it wasn’t just the offense. OU’s defense came in and went toe-to-toe with a team everything thought would be more physical than the Sooners. In fact, both sides of the line were the more physical units for most of the game. Carey, Eddie and George break it all down and give their biggest takeaways from an incredible day in Dallas.
