SoonerScoop podcast: OU-Tennessee, finally, It Just Means More
Not every OU game is created equal. That’s just a fact, at least with the fans. Brent Venables and the staff can try to convince everybody that each game is massive.
But this one? OU and Tennessee, first game in the SEC? This is indeed massive. One where if you have trouble getting fired up for this game, not sure what to tell you.
And the Unofficial 40 podcast from SoonerScoop is right there with you. This does not feel like just another ho-hum week. Between injuries and storylines, a lot to digest.
Who’s in? Who’s out?
The podcast was recorded before the availability report was released, but now we have a great idea of who might be in for OU. And when you see names like Branson Hickman and Troy Everett, you begin to wonder if the offensive line might be able to come together.
We know wide receiver Nic Anderson is going to make his season debut. Can he just jump back into the guy he was in 2023?
The two quarterbacks are going to be linked, with Jackson Arnold and Nico Iamaleava both being from the 2023 class. Their chance, their showcase to a national audience. Who rises to the occasion?

The Vols bring the second-ranked offense and defense. Yes, both. What sort of answers might OU have to figure it all out.
And Bob Stoops decided to sit out this week, more on that decision.

So it looks like Cortez Mills has his all-in chip back for OU. However, Floyd Boucard did decommit earlier this week. What’s it all mean?
