SoonerScoop postgame podcast: OU goes up, down and repeat
Stop if you’ve heard this one before for OU in 2024. A lot of good, a lot of bad and everything in between.
The consistency is not there. A little maddening, but somehow? Brent Venables and company are 3-0 through the first three weeks.
Another riding the wave type of game in a 34-19 victory against visiting Tulane. Just good enough to take down the Green Wave, but it’s not gonna be the answer against No. 7 Tennessee next week.
It’s time to discuss it all on the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast by SoonerScoop. Included in this week? A surprise appearance by Josh McCuistion. Take a deep breath and take it all in. The ride continues, for better or worse.

Murdock summary:
Josh has joined the postgame pod this week along with Carey, Eddie and George. We’re taking a deep dive into OU’s 34-19 win. Maybe this is therapy, maybe it’s a little bit of frustration release? Maybe we don’t even know what we’re doing. Carey certainly can’t remember anyone’s name anymore. Eddie can’t pronounce them. The Offensive line was better. At least for a little while. Then it was very bad. We have the plan for OU’s offensive line moving forward because it’s clear the best advice comes from the Internet. Jackson Arnold should stop running so much. But maybe he should start running more. Gameday is coming to town next week. Good thing or bad thing? OK, this team may not be a juggernaut, but it’s starting to improve in some areas.
And there’s still no sign of Nic Anderson or Branson Hickman. And even less of a sign of Andrel Anthony. So if you are riding with the team that brought you, this is the team. And this is the podcast. The Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.
