The atmosphere was electric for OU and Tennessee. But then the game started. And the worst-case scenario became reality.

The Sooners were not ready for their initial SEC battle. The Vols dominated and now have head coach Brent Venables searching for answers after a 25-15 defeat.

“I’m tired of watching the same thing,” he said about the offensive line issues.

Yikes.

Yep, it’s getting testy in Norman. But come along anyway to the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast from SoonerScoop.

It’s not pretty. There is a lot to fix, a lot that needs to be addressed. What can be done to get the season back on track?

Murdock summary:

The Sooners lose to Tennessee 25-15 in one of the most frustrating offensive outings since Bob Stoops took over for John Blake in 1998. This OU offense hasn’t just regressed, it’s disappeared completely. It looks like Michael Hawkins Jr., will be the near future. But with lots of tough opponents still to be played, the prospects for the season just took a nose dive on Owen Field tonight. Could changes be on the horizon? Carey, Eddie and George break it all down. What are we most concerned about? Who deserves the blame for all of this? Is Jackson Arnold done at OU? How many more games can OU win playing at this level? It was a very concerning performance and has us questioning just about everything going on inside the Switzer Center.

This was not a drunk pod, but it probably set the record for f-bombs in a pod. We found at least 17 of them. And we think we caught them all. But we all lost our minds at one point or another while recording this pod. Come enjoy the madness with us, won’t you?
