SoonerScoop Sights & Sounds: OU 34, Tulane 19
Did you learn more from the good that OU showed? Or do you have even more questions for the not so good the Sooners displayed?
It has sort of been that way the last couple of weeks. OU does just enough again. Defense comes up big in the clutch again in the 34-19 victory against Tulane.
Not sure OU answered all doubts from the previous week. And maybe even some new ones are starting to creep in. But still 3-0, still No. 15 in the country with No. 6 Tennessee coming to OU on Saturday night. And College GameDay.
It’s time for the SoonerScoop Sights & Sounds from video editor Eddie Radosevich.
Head coach Brent Venables
“I’m really thankful for the fight and the strain and the toughness to go into a week where there’s a lot of questions and concern, if you will, and thought they did a great job of managing the week and focusing on what they needed to do to get better and take a step forward.

“There was a lot that was really good in this game. There were some things that was right on course for some of the things that have taken place this season. I thought the offense came out and had a great 14-play drive. I think three of the five drives in the first have went for touchdowns and you had another great drive – one of those drives went for 10 plays and went for 42 yards.
“And then at the start of the second half, we had to settle for a field goal. We came out of halftime and had a 13-play drive and had four really poor drives in a row and couldn’t get into sync. We finished it with scoring 10 points there in the fourth quarter to help seal the game.”
