OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Ben Arbuckle is set to make $1.5 million per year as Oklahoma’s new offensive coordinator.

The OU Board of Regents officially approved Arbuckle’s contract on Thursday at the school’s Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Arbuckle’s contract is totaled at $4.5 million over three years. Last year, offensive coordinator Seth Littrell, who was fired midseason, made $1.1 million per year. At Washington State last season, Arbuckle made approximately $750,000.

So where does his $1.5 million annual salary rank in the SEC? Arbuckle’s 2025 salary ranks fourth in the conference and is expected to be in the top 10 in the country among offensive coordinators.

Last season, OU’s assistant salary pool ranked sixth in the conference at $7.8 million. That number is expected to increase this year with more raises coming. Oklahoma is also still looking to hire a defensive coordinator/linebackers coach in the coming days.
