Why Brent Venables is looking forward to the challenge of the SEC

When Brent Venables was hired as Oklahoma’s head coach, he made a binder labeled “SEC transition.” Inside that binder is everything Venables believes his program needs to be successful in the Southeastern Conference: recruiting, transfer portal, NIL, schematics, coaching staff, etc. Now less than a month away from officially entering the SEC and three months away from playing the program’s first SEC game, Venables is hopeful he and his program is ready for that transition. And he’s excited to put that binder to the test.
