Why OU overhauled its wide receiver room through NCAA transfer portal

OU has rehauled its wide receiver room this offseason.  Since the end of the 2024 season, Oklahoma has added seven receivers to its roster—five from the transfer portal and two true freshmen. The latest being McNeese's Jer'Michael Carter who signed with the Sooners on Wednesday. It also lost six receivers to the transfer portal. The only returning players in the room are Deion Burks, Jayden Gibson, Zion Kearney, Zion Ragins, Ivan Carreon, Jacob Jordan and KJ Daniels.
