Xavier Robinson Sets Official Visits, Including Sooners
MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Few players in recent memory have seen a more stratospheric rise than in the last year than Carl Albert’s state player of the year Xavier Robinson. The big man has gone from a largely overlooked sophomore with promise at linebacker to a massive junior season that has seen him reel in a number of running back offers.
The big man has now started to work out his official visit schedule while hitting Norman on June 6, Iowa State on June 9, Oklahoma on June 16 before capping off his summer plans at Oklahoma State on June 23. The Sooners are one of several suitors that he’s just trying to get a better feel for during his series of official visits.
“I feel like out of those four schools I already have a great connection with all four of those coaches at all of those schools. When I get to Notre Dame, I want to be able to meet all the coaches, check out the facilities,” Robinson explained. “If football doesn’t work out I want to check out my major, business, and see what that’s like. See what the players are like, [just] building that connection with the players. Not just my position but all the positions and ask them questions about what it’s like.”

And with so many visits to play out in the next few weeks he has plans to come to a decision shortly after the visits are done.
“After I take the official visits I end up going through that process with my family, coaches, teammates, and go from there. Mid-July or end of July I expect to have it done,” he explained.
