4-star WR Winston Watkins commits to Ole Miss
2025 Ft. Myers (Fla.) Venice wide receiver Winston Watkins committed to Ole Miss, he announced on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period. He adds to what’s an elite signing class at wide receiver for the Rebels.
In the summer, he took an official visit to Oxford to check out the program and came away impressed.
Ole Miss sold the four-star prospect on being the next Elijah Moore in Lane Kiffin‘s offense. The idea of it was a big deal to him, he told Ole Miss Spirit after his official visit.
“They were just telling me how they would get me the ball in space and how I could make plays at Ole Miss,” Watkins said this summer. “I could be a big-time playmaker there.”
Ole Miss wide receivers coach George McDonald helped Watkins feel like Oxford was the spot for him to get him to the next level. The coaching staff overall stood out.
